Reading List

You are what you read.  Or as Ralph Waldo Emerson astutely put it:
I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.
I would like to thank my friend Jarrod for giving me the idea to establish a yearly reading goal.  My personal goal is to read around 10,000 pages a year (although for most years, it is around 7,000).  In order to keep myself accountable, I created a spreadsheet that calculates the number of pages I need to read per day to finish my goal by the end of the year.  As I read more, I add more books; therefore, my reading list for any given year may exceed the 10,000 page minimum.  If you would like a copy of the spreadsheet, please email me.

Also, I would like to thank Art Garfunkel for inspiring me to include my reading list on this blog.  Since 1968, Mr. Garfunkel has kept record of every book he has read.  You may find his reading list here.  As well as recording each book, Mr. Garfunkel indicates his favorite books.  To follow suit, I will bold my favorite reads of each year.
